Twigs & Honey Envy.

*Sigh* I just love this piece, the Turquoise Mist by Twigs & Honey. It would be so fun for our reception (hello "something blue") or second reception in Ohio. It would be so fun to wear on a special date or something too. I just think it's beautiful. That's all. Just had to share.

Envelope Liners - Easy way to spruce up your invitations

Looking for a way to take your invites to the next level cheaply and easily? Envelope liners are my newest obsession. They are cheap and relatively easy for a DIY beginner or veteran. It is a little time consuming, but not too bad. It's something you can do in front of the TV. Forgive me, these photos were taken before they were glued in.

We recived our beautiful goccoed invitations from Ugly Kitty last week and we adore them, but I just wanted to do something extra to make them a little more special. I remembered a tutorial I saw on Annie Get Your Glue Gun some months ago and headed to the book sale at our local library. As if it was fate, we found an old bird guide from 1918 that was oversized and falling apart. We bought it for $1 and I took it home and disected it. I followed Annie's tutorial to creat the template and after that it was smooth sailing. Added a little bakers twine in brown to hold all the bits and pieces together as well (super cheap, 10 yards for $7 on etsy).

Hope that helps some of you a little. I'm so excited to send out our invites. We couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. I hope our guests appriciate the love that went into them. Have a lovely day everyone! Happy planning!

More from La Petite Chaumiere

I can't help myself. She listed this piece and I just had to share. Another beautiful flower from La Petite Chaumiere on etsy. I was half tempted to but the lovely Cindy Lou seeing as it's only $18.95!

Thanks.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank a few blogs who featured my work!

Paper*Cakes Finds featured my little pink blossom brooch in their Yart Sale feature. I'm so glad this lovely little blog was brought to my attention! They have so many lovely items. I will certainly be adding this one to my reader. You know I can never say no to cute woodland creatures and shabby chic vintage. Thanks for the feature!

My Sarah May Earrings were featured on a post about bridesmaid gifts at the New Mrs. this week. The New Mrs. is a blog by Jo, the artist behind the beautiful bridal accessories of La Petite Chaumiere (whom we featured last week!). Thanks for the feature and good luck with your upcoming wedding!

I was also given a spot in a lovely summery treasury called LEMONADE on etsy. Thanks for including me! It's a beautiful collection!

JCrew Fall 2009 Palette - Grapes & Crystal Chandeliers

I love the idea of pairing a tailored dress with shabby bouquets and drippy chandeliers. And the color of this bridesmaid dress would be so gorgeous for an outdoor vineyard wedding in September.

JCrew Fall 2009 Palette - Féminin Arte Nouveau

I was so inspired by this dreamy dress I could only think of the flowing sheers of Alphonse Mucha's women. Pretty pinks and peaches paired are made autumnal by shades of concord grape. I would love to see centerpieces of pink depression glass, breezy sheer drapes and lush, organic bouquets.
