Creamy Coffee Treasury

My Rose Marie Locket was featured recently in this beautiful Coffee Inspired Treasury and it's a treasury I think could translate beautifully into a cozy fall or winter wedding. A lovely ivory dress with a soft knit cardigan, accessorized with my lovely locket and a soft updo with a lace headband. I would skip a full meal and do a pastry bar with a barista and a full coffee bar that would be starbucks to shame in place of a bartender. For a venue a snowy lodge with plush lounge seating and a big fireplace. For music a soft jazz band or accoustic guitar player (think Joshua Radin).

If you have a second, stop by the treasury and send some love in the direction of these lovely artists. They deserve it! I think I might do an inspiration board for thise wedding.

New Treasury - Folk Summer

Not really wedding related like most of my treasuries (though you can take inspiration from anywhere, right?) but I saw this letterpress wall calendar by Dutch Door and I couldn't help myself. I feel like folk and dutch inspired design is everywhere right now (including the newest vintage pyrex casserole dish trend) and I wanted to feature some new folk inspired items with some vintage ones.

If you have a second, please check out my new treasury, Folk Summer and send these fabulous artists some love! They totally deserve it and I'd love for them to make the front page!

Pretty Pink Treasury

I noticed the treasury was opening on etsy today so I stuck around and put together a pretty pink treasury that would be lovely for a birthday tea party or soft vintage wedding. Check out my Birthday Tea Party Treasury and send some love the way of these talented artists! Artists featured include Twigs & Honey, Bonzie, Christa Kimble and even a piece by Leanne Marshall from Project Runway! Have a lovely day everyone!

JCrew Fall 2009 Palette - Grapes & Crystal Chandeliers

I love the idea of pairing a tailored dress with shabby bouquets and drippy chandeliers. And the color of this bridesmaid dress would be so gorgeous for an outdoor vineyard wedding in September.

JCrew Fall 2009 Palette - Féminin Arte Nouveau

I was so inspired by this dreamy dress I could only think of the flowing sheers of Alphonse Mucha's women. Pretty pinks and peaches paired are made autumnal by shades of concord grape. I would love to see centerpieces of pink depression glass, breezy sheer drapes and lush, organic bouquets.

Our Inspiration Boards

I was just going through old posts today and it dawned on me, I don't think I've ever shared our inspiration boards on here. I have a whole series of inspiration boards, starting with the one above that is the most summarized version, with just the most basic textures and details to get the message across, to an extremely large a detailed board that I constantly add to when I have introduced new elements to the wedding (which will not be featured here since it has my dress on it and I know Jared is reading this).

The one below has our color pallet (shades of antique blues, greens and in-betweens, with soft milky brown and gold/brass accents) as well as textures and themes we are including (milk glass, wood grain, hydrangea, lace, etc). Even since I did this one a few things have changed an evolved as they have done over the (holy crap) over two years since we were first engaged. After it's all over I should pull out my original inspiration and compare it to the final event.

What do your inspiration board look like?

Just a little crafty goodness.

Hi all,

So I know a lot of my reader are crafty gods and goddesses. I thought I'd share a few bits of inspiration. If you remember the last gorgeous wedding we featured with Annie and Dave (first post here) then you'll remember the lovely letter pressed invites the DIYed. Well Annie has joined the bloggosphere with her blog Annie Get Your Glue Gun (how cute is the name?!) to cure the after-wedding bug. She is so creative and blogs about her crafting and cooking adventures as well as whatever else tickles her fancy. I LOVE her first tutorial about DIY envelope liners and may end up using it to line out invitation envelopes. I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.

On another note, my secret santa this year turned out to be my crafting buddy Ryan. He is a fashion major and does really beautiful work. He has such great taste and he's a sewing fiend. So naturally he made me something and he couldn't have done a more BEAUTIFUL job. Everyone knows I have a little thing for woodland creatures. Hopefully he'll be offering some things on etsy in the near future. His plushies are always adorable. So without further ado, meet Lydia...

I think the colors are so dear (hah.). Maybe I'll make a pallet out of it in the future. Anyways, check out Annie's blog if you get a chance and stay tuned for more wedding-y goodness from me. Lot's of love.
