Lost & Fawned Bridal Party

Earlier this summer I worked with a bride named Jessica to create some custom Jill Earrings for her bridesmaids. I loved the marbleized pink Czech glass beads we used and I was SO excited when she sent me some photos this morning! Jessica looks just gorgeous and the earrings looked perfect with her bridesmaid gowns and the pink roses. Congratulations to Jessica and her husband!

Her photographer was Mike Sidney out of Maui. Check out his website for more beautiful Hawaiian weddings.

The Nordstrom Sale Wedding

After scowering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for myself I ran across these two dresses by Komarov that are currently on sale for $158 (but will go up to $238 on the 3rd!) and thought how gorgeous would it be to have the bridesmaids in the solid orchid and the maid of honor in the beautiful print?

So I went through the anniversary sale as well as the regular sale section and pulled my favorite pieces for the bridal party. Here are my picks (including some GORGEOUS flowergirl dresses):

BCBGMAXAZRIA Lace & Tulle Tier Gown on sale for $379.90 (33% off).

Left: Blush by Us Angels Ruffle Neck Dress on sale for $68.90 (40% off)
Right:
Blush by Us Angels Crinkled Chiffon Dress on sale for $49.90 (50% off)

The last group I'm featuring today from the JCrew Fall 2009 Wedding Collection. I'm so looking forward to the shoot they do for these. They always pick the most gorgeous setting, flowers and accessories. I'm sure it will be inspiring, I know I've already been inspired!

JCrew Weddings - Fall 2009 Preview

JCrew has recently released their preview of the fall 2009 weddings collection and I can't wait for the catalogue to come out. It look like the colors are going to be absolutely dreamy and delicious (as usual) and the shapes are going to be very soft and ethereal.

Today and tomorrow I'm going to feature a few more pieces and then I'm working on some palettes of my own to go with these gorgeous gowns! Stay tuned, especially if you are a fall bride in need of some inspiration. You know I have a thing for color.

Also, don't forget to enter the Lost & Fawned Jewelry Giveaway which ends on Monday! It will help me out to know what you like, and it doesn't hurt to enter! Who knows, you might win something beautiful!

Figs & Ginger - Bridesmaid Gifts

Now you all know I have a LITTLE thing for woodland creatures. Since last year I've had a MAJOR thing for Figs & Ginger (they are currently on vacation hiatus, but they'll be back). I happen to own both pairs of these earrings, the birdies and the fawns both in the silver finish (the patina finish is shown here) and I wear them daily. They are the perfect size to wear everyday, but are more interesting than a standard stud. All pieces are made-to-order with care and are made of eco-friendly sterling silver by a husband and wife team.

If you are looking for a little something to give your bridesmaids these would be a fabulous little gift. Heck, just pick up a pair for yourself. They are the most versatile piece of jewelry I've ever worn (besides my engagement ring of course).

(I'm apologizing now for this weekend's posts as they will be on the mushy side. You have been warned.)

Bridesmaids in Patterns.

(Photo courtesy of Brooke Schwab Phototography.)

I've always loved the idea of skipping the usual solid colored bridesmaid dresses and opting for a pretty pattern or floral instead. As you probably know, I'm a huge fan of print and texture, so I really think it gives the bridal party some depth.

Later I'll post some of my picks for patterned bridesmaid dresses. For now, here are a few more pictures from theknot.com of pretty bridal parties in patterns.
